Autism: Are you living life on the spectrum?

Autism. Sensory Processing Disorder?

In addition to our Consumer and Family services, we are currently developing Quality of life, Vocational and Adaptive technology solutions for adults on the autism spectrum. Much of what we share has come out of our own experiences dealing with autism issues in our family, and with others in our community.

We want to increase awareness of the unique abilities and benefits that autistic individuals can contribute to our society!

John Elder Robison – Author, ‘Look Me In The Eye: My Life with Asperger’s’

“I don’t want to be a genius or a freak or something on display. I wish for empathy and compassion from those around me, and I appreciate sincerity, clarity, and logicality in other people. I believe most people—autistic or not—share this wish. And now, with my newfound insight, I’m on the way to achieving that goal. I hope you’ll keep those thoughts in mind the next time you meet someone who looks or acts a little strange.”

While there are numerous resources that have been developed to benefit the autistic population of children in first world countries, very little assistance is currently in place for transitional teens and adults who are only just now obtaining diagnosis. It is this “forgotten” group of Aspergers individuals on the Autism Spectrum that we are seeking to serve!

Dr. Temple Grandin – Professor of Animal Husbandry, Colorado State University.

“I am different, not less”

Dr. Stephen Shore – Special Education Professor, Adelphi University

“If you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism.”

Dr. Kerry Magro – National Speaker

“Autism can’t define me, I define autism.”
